"Kizuna" means a deep, sincere and spiritual relationship between friends who share same ideas and goals.
Sumo Grand Prix Varna
Sumo Tournament "Grand Prix VARNA", organized by the Sumo Federation in Bulgaria, took place on the 25.09.2009 in The Palace of Culture and Sport in Varna. The audience was able to fully explore the Japanese culture.
With the assistance of Japanese club “Kizuna”-Varna, beautiful girls, dressed in traditional Japanese kimonos, escorted all participants.

In the centre of the event, sumo players from eight countries were trying their best to win the title. In the presence of the President of the European Federation Sergei Korobko, Executive Director of the Bulgarian Sumo Federation Petar Stoyanov defeated in the finals Arthur Bagaev (Russia) and won "Sumo VARNA GRAND PRIX".

In addition to the prestigious prize, the winner also received a unique Japanese calligraphy with the symbol for "Victory", made by "Kizuna".
A video about Japan, also made by "Kizuna", was shown on the video wall. It reflects the impressions from the first trip to the country of the rising sun of a group of people studying Japanese language.
Club "Ronin" served a spectacular show with demonstrations of Japanese martial art Kendo and was enthusiastically applauded by the audience.

The event ended with sushi tasting and Japanese tea, prepared by the skilful hands of the experts from "Kizuna" and it was named "Japan`s Night", which is a part of the project of the Association of Young Psychologists in Bulgaria on "Improving The Intercultural Dialogue of The Young Communities of Varna".

I was a great pleasure for us, as our first act in front of general public, to present even a small part of the magic of the Japanese culture. We only hope that this is a good start of our "journey" to that magnificent destination.
